How  Your Psychic Medium Connects Psychically and to the Spirit World.  Meet the Clairs.

As one of Boston’s top psychic mediums, people often come in to see me and expect that the reading they receive will be a cookie cutter version of what they might already have experienced from another psychic.

It’s true that some of us are able to “see” images from the other side. But, if you are interested in consulting a psychic medium – or are consulting one already – it’s important to understand a few things in order to get the most out of your psychic medium readings.

Psychic mediums receive intuitive information and connect with spirit in different, unique ways.

Some will indeed “see ghosts,” while others will have a more auditory experience. So, instead of receiving messages by way of mental images, they will hear sounds or words. Still others will have a visceral, physical reaction as we interpret the messages in the spiritual energy around us.

Just as we use our five senses in daily life to understand the physical world around us, mediums use the clairs in order to interpret spiritual energy and connect with the spirit.

What are the clairs?

The clairs are the psychic abilities or spiritual psychic senses that intuitives use to receive psychic information. They correspond to the five senses – seeing, hearing, touching, smelling, and tasting. Basically, they are your normal senses extended out into another dimension.

And just as you yourself may have a stronger (or weaker) sense of smell or hearing than your friends, psychic mediums may have one or two clairs that are stronger than others.

The clairs include:

Clairvoyance (Clear Seeing)

This is the ability to see objects, actions, or events from the past, present, and future that flash through the mind eye (the third eye). Clairvoyant messages emerge in the form of mental images or scenes that may sometimes be a metaphor for what’s really going on in our lives. Clairvoyants are able to see the future (precognition), clarify the present, and see the past (postcognition).

Clairaudience (Clear Hearing)

This is the ability to hear words, sounds, or music from the spiritual realm in our mind’s voice. Sometimes, though rarely, a spirit can actually create audible sound. During a reading by a medium, clairaudient messages might include straightforward sentences or single words or numbers that have meaning.

Claircognizance (Clear Knowing)

This is the ability to know something about people or events that we would not normally have knowledge about – and for which there is no physical explanation or reason. Truths that we believe to a certainty will sometimes pop into our minds from out of nowhere, like a premonition of something happening in the future.

Clairsentience (Clear Feeling)

This is the ability to acquire knowledge by feeling a person’s or spirit’s emotions, physical pain, or illness. It’s like a gut feeling we instantly have about someone we meet, or chills we get for no apparent reason. We’re tuning into the emotional energy of a person or spirit around us.

Clairsalience (Clear Smelling)

This is the ability to smell odors or fragrances of a person, place, animal, or substance that doesn’t have any physical source in one’s physical surroundings. It can manifest during a reading as the scent of perfume, flowers, or the smoke of a cigar to indicate the presence of the dearly departed.

Clairgustance (Clear Tasting)

This is the ability to taste something that’s not actually present in our mouths. It is typically sensed to let us know a loved one is present, especially when there is an association with a particular food or beverage that reminds us of them.
