5 Reasons To Get A Psychic Medium Reading This Halloween

by Mary Trettenero in October 28th, 2019

As Boston’s top psychic, I often get requests for readings on or around Halloween – and with good reason. A quick review of the story of where Halloween came from is pretty telling to understand the why behind it.

The Festival of Samhain

The Celts celebrated Samhain on October 31st. This day was dedicated to ring in not only the harvest but also the end of summer and the start of their New Year on November 1st.

The Celts believed that the veil that separates the living from the dead was at its thinnest on this day. It is during this time that the laws of space and time suspend to allow the spirit world to intermingle with the living.

In fact, this is where we get the modern-day ritual of dressing up for Halloween.

On Samhain, the villagers dressed in costumes to trick, scare away, or hide from spirits who passed the year before. That’s because these spirits were thought to come back that night to look for living bodies to possess for the next year, which was – at that time – considered their only hope at returning to the physical world.

While we’ve done away with the thought that the dead are looking for “hosts” on Halloween, it is still widely held that on October 31st, the dead and the living are closer than they are at any other time of the year.

Keeping the above historical genesis of Halloween in mind, here are 5 reasons you may want to schedule an in-person or online session with me this October 31st.

#1. You may be more likely to make contact with a loved one who has passed over.

Because the veil that separates the living from the dead is thinnest on Halloween, it may be easier for that veil to be pierced – meaning, it can be easier to make contact with a deceased loved one. The presence of the loved one you want to connect with may be stronger at this time since they are “closer” to you.

#2. Psychics may have enhanced power on Halloween.

Because the energy of the deceased is stronger on October 31st, psychics may be better able to pick up on their messages. This can be experienced by clients as an enhancement of a psychic or a medium’s abilities.

#3. You may be more open to making contact with a departed ancestor on Halloween.

One of the biggest impediments to a proper reading is when a client has their “walls up”. They may not even realize that they are blocking energy from getting through for various reasons – be it skepticism, reluctance, or negativity. Halloween starts popping up all around us in October. It’s the season to open up to the idea of an end to physical life (with decorations of skeletons, for example) and the beginning of another (such as ghosts and spirits). On Halloween, we open ourselves to the idea that eternal spirits may be walking amongst us. This, in turn, may make our walls come down.

#4. You may experience enhanced psychic occurrence on Halloween

Even without the help of a psychic or medium, many individuals report experiencing enhanced psychic powers on this day. This may include having a premonition about the future or feeling the presence of a loved one close by. If you’re experiencing enhanced psychic ability on this day, you will get more out of a psychic medium reading should you choose to have one.

#5. Halloween a great excuse to do something fun you’ve always wanted to try.

Many of us just find the holiday to be a fun one to celebrate. And maybe that’s the only reason you need to propel you to try something you’ve always wanted to. A reading can be a great gift for someone you think could benefit from connecting with a loved one who has passed over or simply honing their own intuitive abilities.
